I may have met Robert only a few times but I know him from stories shared by Lucia. Stories of a life shared together through the thick and thin. A love story of a couple raising two girls in the best way they knew how. A story full of everyday challenges, successes and dreams. Lucia painted a story of a father who loved his princesses, wanting to do everything for them. She spoke of a partner who dreamed of possibilities that she would then try to help realize. Lucia told me stories of them working on the house - the tweaks to every room, the renovations that were both big and small. Lucia spoke of trips they took together, of holidays they spent with their families...Lucia got to experience a beautiful love story with Robert. Robert will be very much missed and I am so sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of meeting Robert many many many years ago. Lucia, you know the story, :). To this day, I remember our little trip to Blue Mountain. He picked us up in his Volvo with his friend and we had an awesome night skiing. Our drive back was freezing when his car’s heat decided to stop working. He gave us a blanket to keep warm and felt so bad. From the very beginning, he loved Lucia so much! Always had a huge smile on his face. That is what I remember most about Robert. Even when he wasn’t smiling, he was smiling.
To his entire family, especially you Lucia and your girls, I am so sorry for you loss. May God give you strength during this difficult time.

My sincerest condolences to Robert's family and loved ones. I am so sorry to hear of Robert's passing. I had the privilege to get to know Robert over many years at both Burntsand and OBS working on our Remedy Practice teams. I was fortunate to be able to keep in touch over the years and continued to meet from time to time including just a six months ago. While at OBS together, we hosted a work session at a venue and we spotted Tie Domi of the Maple Leafs at the bar. I asked Tie for a picture. Robert's turned out and mine did not, maybe because it was old BlackBerry technology. Sharing a photo of that memory.

I send my sincere and most heartfelt condolences to Lucia, Sylvia and Sophia, Miroslawa and Jozef and other family and friends at this time of tremendous loss of a kind friend and associate, Robert.
I met Robert when we both worked for BlackBerry but we became teammates working together on a large project in Winnipeg. I had the immense pleasure and privilege of getting to know Robert over the course of the project, not only as a very skilled and diligent technology developer but also as a person. As a consultant I have had the opportunity to meet and work with many people over the years, but Robert had such a kind, diplomatic, and genuine spirit that I knew he was someone to bring value to the lives of those lucky enough to cross paths with him. As a result, and although we never worked on another project together again, we maintained our friendship through text and regularly scheduled phone calls. We last connected at the end of November. I will cherish that and all the conversations we had about work, our families, his loving wife and beloved children and parents, the renovations he worked on and even his little beagle. Thank you, Robert, for those rich memories.

Robert was the most gentle, kind and helpful person. I and my late husband could not wish for better son in law. First time he came to our house to be introduced to us by Lucia, he was very, very late, maybe 2 hours. It happened that he had lied down for a bit before driving from Oshawa to Mississauga and fell asleep. He showed up with the most gorgeous bucket of burgundy peonies from his parents garden. I will never forget that day. We had many good loughs about that story over years.
Dear Robert I will miss you very much with loving memory. Our family gatherings will not be the same without you.

I am so sorry for you loss. My heart is broken. Robert was one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. So personable and friendly. I used to tell him I gave his dog a nickname Woot Woot Dog. His smile and positive outlook will be missed. Sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

When I think of Robert, I think of someone who was always upbeat and positive. When he joined our EDS team early in his career, he was eager to learn and a strong contributor right from the start. I had the pleasure of sharing a canoe with him back in September 2000 on a short trip through Algonquin park with a group from my church. A good time was had by all. I know he will be missed by all who knew him and I count myself privileged to be one of them.
