Shirley and Joan were like sisters for my mother Mary Jane who had only brothers. They were close all their lives. Shirley never forgot Teri and I and our family at Christmas time and I honour her as she honoured my mother by keeping contact with us over so many years. Teri and I send our best wishes and condolences.

Grandma was such an amazing woman.
An inspiration for the rest of us to admire, and carry on her legacy.
Always remembering the importance of friends and family, and subscribing to something larger than yourself.
From her devout faith, to her love as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Her presence at family gatherings did not need to be mentioned - the crowd would excitedly move towards wherever she was. It was like a light shone down on her when she entered the room.
A beautiful and powerful woman, yet elegant and humble.
A laugh that would fill a room, and a gentle touch that would calm anyone down when needed.
A big hole in our family has been left behind, however we must fill it with the memories of a life well lived, and a purpose fulfilled.
Love you Grandma Shirl! I will miss you so much!

Mom was and will always be a beautiful and elegant woman who always had a smile that would warm your heart. I have so many wonderful memories of spending time at the cottage with the family for our usual Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. It would be a fun filled weekend with lots of laughs! Mom loved her family very much and made each one of us feel special.
It was truly an honor to be her daughter-in-law and I will miss her warmth, bright smile and loving heart!
I love you very much mom and will miss you terribly.
