Obituary of Sherilyn Learoyd

IN LOVING MEMORY OF SHER

1962-2023

Passed away on March 29^th. Her life was focused on service to others and to aid those in need especially in the community when she could. In the past she had worked as a Social Worker in Vancouver and Toronto and during Covid she delivered food and other essentials to the doors of, at risk, people in the Durham Region. She loved to make sure everyone had enough to eat not only when preparing meals for family and friends but also during the holiday season when she would help prepare and deliver special meals to people that could not manage it on their own.

Sher is survived by her husband, Brian, their two children, Brad and Shannon, as well as her loving brother, Steven and very dear friend, Marlene. They will always remember her love of nature and how she took a particular joy in feeding birds in the back yard and seeing which ones would return each spring.

She always strived to try to find answers in spirituality and now she is at peace having finally found all those answers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa (905) 440 3595 on Sunday May 14th at 1:00pm. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
