Giuseppe was an extraordinary guy!! He always had a smile on his face and such a bubbly attitude towards everything. He always greeted you with such enthusiasm and kindness and somehow always seemed to leave you smiling after talking with him!!! I cannot begin to imagine how terribly he is going to be missed. The World was definitely a better and brighter place when Sepp was in it. My condolences to the family.

My heart is broken. Giueseppe, "Seppe", you are missed and I will always have a spot in my heart for you, until we meet again...
Johnene, Emma, Eliza, Charlotte and all of Seppe's extended family, words cannot describe what you all mean to Seppe. Every conversation we had ALWAYS included something about his family.
Maurizzio, the love and compassion shown helping Seppe the way you did is the most unselfish thing a person can do. I know he told you this but know that he told others too.
The first time I met Seppe it was like we had been friends for years. As genuine a person anyone will ever meet. Our friendship only grew stronger with time.
I thought I knew Seppe pretty well but after attending his eulogy I quickly realized he was a man of many life experiences. I had no idea he had traveled as much as he did. I knew had had many talents; skiing, hockey and guitar to name a few. There are so many things we never got to do together... but so many fun times also. I will cherish those memories forever.
I will miss our morning breakfast outings, texts, conversations about anything and most importantly just hanging out together. You always "filled my cup" when I was around you, rest in peace my friend.

I have many memories of Giuseppe during our high school days. But my fondest memory was a serendipitous Christmas Eve 2012, when my husband, son, and I were driving from our home outside of NYC to Port Elgin to spend Christmas with the family, and decided to stop for a short dinner break in Oshawa. Johnene saw a photo I posted from the restaurant on FB, and next thing you know, we were at their house, eating fish, making music on their piano, my husband on the violin, reminiscing about old days while creating new memories. Giuseppe's good humor and the warmth and love in the house were inspiring and unforgettable. He clearly lived life to the fullest and made an impact on the world around him, and his sudden passing is a painful loss. May his memory be eternal. My deepest condolences to Johnene, Emma, Eliza, Charlotte, Maurizio, and all the members of his extended family and friends. xo

I have lived abroad for almost thirty years with my family and therefore have not had the opportunity to spend much time with Giuseppe and Johnene and their girls over the years. However, we were always made to feel welcome during the few brief visits we were able to make. We were all deeply saddened to learn of Giuseppe's fatal illness, he was always so much fun. We hope he rests in peace now and that Johnene and her girls will receive all the love and support they need from family and friends of whom there are many.

We became neighbours in 2006 and quickly realized we had hit the “amazing neighbours” jackpot! We readily struck up friendships and later the relationships began to feel more like family. We often talk about how blessed we have been to have found the Milan Family. With both our girls fairly close together in ages to their younger two girls it feels like we raised them together. I’m sure they raised each other a bit as well. LOL! Our girls just loved Giuseppe. They loved when he would greet them with, “Hello Ladies!”. I am so proud of their oldest daughter going to teacher’s college. I am convinced she has found a career she is passionate about. We are completely gutted by the loss of Giuseppe for you Johnene, your beautiful daughters, your loving extended family, your humongous network of friends, your little pup Indy and of course us! It is so hard to comprehend. Giuseppe’s loss is being felt far and wide. How really special he was is beyond any words. He leaked kindness from every part of his being.

I was extremely saddened to hear of Giuseppe's passing. He was a great friend and colleague at Dupont/Axalta who I enjoyed working with immensely. He was a kind and caring person to all that had the opportunity to meet him. Giuseppe had been our neighbor across the street for 23 years. Our lives were in some ways mirror images. We also had 3 girls, and for years it was a blur of both families in and out of the driveways for hockey, soccer, etc. Giuseppe also jumped in with the downhill ski club as he seemed to have experience in all sports. He was the best neighbor you could imagine. He was always friendly even if just taking out the garbage. I never heard heard him say an unkind word about anyone. If my husband was out in the driveway fixing something, he would always come over and say, "Hey buddy, How ya doing?" If he had a tool he could lend you it was yours.
I never saw him moody. My husband went away for work many times over the years, and it was such a comfort knowing that if there was ever a problem we could probably ask for help. He was just that kind of rare person that you could trust.
Sometimes he would sit in his garage strumming on the guitar. Yes, he could do that as well. I believe he played in the church band. So he even added music to the neighborhood!
He was always a fixture on the street and liked to collect things! Working on some interlock? He gave advice. Replacing wooden columns in your front? He was there to help. Unbelievable!
He was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor to deal with the difficulties of life. His family was everything to him. His 3 wonderful girls are a testament to the wonderful upbringing that their parents provided.
Our neighborhood is heartbroken and will never be the same again. We lost a fantastic person. It is tragic that this beautiful family had to give him up so prematurely.
Our love and strength to the entire family if I may speak for the entire street. He will be missed!

Q: What will you never forget about Giuseppe?
A: I remember attending the funeral of our friend Kerri Gows father. It was a catholic service. I being Anglican wasn't too familiar with it. The Priest said he was giving his blessings and stated that anyone even if you weren't Catholic could come up and be blessed. It was at that point that Sepp nudged me and said, " You could probably use a free blessing! " and up we went. RIP my friend. you were a true gem!

Our family has been very fortunate to be neighbors with Giuseppe and Johnene for over 22 years. We have so many fond memories Giuseppe. One of our funniest memories is of the family visiting with us one summer at a cottage we rented. I remember Giuseppe deciding to take a little row boat out on the lake with one of the kids fishing rod. Doesn't he catch a fish bigger then the fishing rod on his first cast. He eventually lost the fish since the little kiddie rod was no match for the fish as we all laughed at him on the shore. He will definitely be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Giuseppe at McDonald's in Oshawa so many years ago. Now I know many of us have stayed in contact over the years and some of us haven't. Giuseppe was a great guy. I cherish his memory. I liked working with him a lot as he was always funny and when the situation got tense he would do something which would break the tension and allow us to refocus on the tasks at hand. There were two things that always struck me about Sep whenever we were together, his curiosity and his unbridled enthusiasm for whatever he was doing. Whether he was noodling on a guitar or cheering on a soccer or hockey game or relating an adventure from time at the hunting camp or on the ski hill or prodding you for your thoughts and ideas on something he was thinking about or calling BS on something he thought you were out to lunch on, he did it with a humble eagerness to share and learn and a wide eyed joy that most of us lose, to our detriment, as we grow up. I will miss that. Let’s all take in a bit of the light that shone from him and spread it around. The world would do better with a little more “Sepiness” out there.

Words cannot express how devastating it is to hear about Giuseppe's passing. He was truly one of a kind and such a great friend to so many. His laugh and smile lit up a room. My memories of Sep and Johnene's Fish Fry will top the list and ones I will never forget... those were such fun times. My deepest sympathy goes to Johnene, Emma, Eliza and Charlotte, along with Maurizio and family. Rest in peace Giuseppe ❤
