It is with heartfelt sadness that I recall the memories of Mr. Wayne Depass, a man with an incredible sense of humor and an innate ability to bring joy to everyone around him. His special talent for telling jokes would effortlessly lighten the atmosphere and make everyone burst into laughter, creating moments of happiness that will be cherished forever. May his memory be a source of comfort and strength during these difficult times.

I have known Dippy for the last 50 years from the time I entered St. George’s College to now. For the better part of our 50 years, he was one of my best friends.
Dippy was soft-spoken and shy. A talented athlete in St. Georges but didn’t end up pursuing any sport. In our spare time, we would go to parties together, play badminton and kick ball every week.
Dippy was more than just a high school friend; He was a bright light in our lives, a source of joy, laughter, and inspiration. He possessed a contagious energy that could instantly uplift any room he entered. With his kind heart, he touched the lives of everyone he encountered.
In the face of this tragedy, let us come together as a community, supporting and uplifting one another. Let us cherish the memories we have of our dear friend and carry him with us as a reminder to live life to the fullest, just as he did.
I was fortunate enough to witness the love shared between Dippy and Heather. I was his best man at his wedding. After Heather and Dippy got married, they migrated to Canada and we slowly grew apart. However, Dippy graced our lives with his presence, for being an exceptional friend, and for leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. Rest in peace, dear friend. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever live on.

We are sending our deepest confolences to Heather and family re Wayne' passing. He will be missed.
The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand. Rhe Sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops and yet it lingers on in sweet refrain
For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains.
May Wayne rest in peace.

JOHN & JOANNE (CHRIS & JACKIE) NEWMAN & FAMILY
We will always remember Wayne for the kind and incredibly gracious, gentle, man that he was - and so full of fun! We were the recipients of all of these attributes when we were newcomers to Canada. Wayne , along with Heather and the family, in typical DePass fashion, made us feel welcome and invited us to delicious dinners where we even got to enjoy his famous bar-b-q’s. We especially remember the beach outing and the lovely time spent on the beach. Not only this - we found a church home and family of Believers at Bayfair, through his and Heather’s leading, at a time when we in a foreign country and missing our own family back home. We will miss him dearly.
Heather, Marcel, Justine, Daniel and all the family, we extend our deepest sympathies to you all and are keeping you close in our hearts and prayers. Wayne left this earth too soon but he is now rejoicing before his Father, whom he loved and served and he is being welcomed with the words of Matthew 25:21: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”.
With our love and prayers,
Chris & Jackie Newman & Family

Uncle Wayne
Family, caring, understanding, empathetic and patient are only a few words that come to mind when I think of my Uncle Wayne.
Reserved and respectable among acquaintances; playful and jolly among family and close friends.
The quiet, humble competitor; with the eventual element of surprise to defeat his opponents in the end.
His intense stare that spoke “loving uncle”, but also spoke “you better stop what you’re doing or else”.
His jokes that went way over my head in the present, but caused me to be laughing at the genius of them hours later.
The love, protection and security that his presence was to Auntie Heather, Marcel, Justine, and Daniel (And their families).
I thank God for His grace through Jesus that I will see my Uncle Wayne once again in glory.

Dear Heather and family. We wish we could be with you as you celebrate the life of Wayne. John and I will be watching the live stream here in Florida. We have known Wayne for over 40 years now and are thankful for his and your friendship. Wayne was a valued member of our small group at Bayfair. Our kids grew up together at Bayfair and it’s hard to believe that time has passed so quickly. The last few years has been so hard for Wayne and all of you. We are thankful that we have this hope in our Lord that this world is not our home and that Wayne is whole again. Every time we see a Mini Cooper we think of Wayne. Love to you all, John and Susan

Dippy (Wayne), my friend, your early passing is very sad indeed. Your peaceful-calm, easy smile, and well-meaning wisdom mingled with a caring dose of wit is but of a small part of who you were and the respectful life you lived and shared. A dear friend from the day we met at STGC. I remember the talks we had in the hallway and after school as if they were yesterday. I remember when you shared you were going to Canada. Then the years just seems to have flown by us as we grew older. I will miss you my friend. My prayers go with you, dear friend and my condolences to your wonderful family who shared your life and was the source if your continued joy.

Wayne was truly a family man, his family meant much to him, and he was one who would help others when in need, whenever it was possible.
We thank the LORD that we serve, as we know Wayne has gone to GLORY.❤️
