Kevin, my dear little brother,
You came into our lives with your bright smile, and your spontaneous happy and teasing nature as a kid. I will never forget our many adventures growing up: tree forts and frogs at the "green bridge", neighborhood games, fishing with our hands in the creeks, romps through the fields, great snow forts in our backyard.
Always true to your heart, you grew into a giving and thoughtful man, and a rock of strength and inspiration to Mom and Dad, Brian, Lydia and I, and to your own growing family.
I have always been proud and happy of your many wonderful accomplishments. No matter how successful you were, you never let go of your fun loving nature, your kindness and humility.
You hold a special place in my heart and I will always treasure my beautiful memories of you, my sweet brother.
God has surely blessed us.
Until we meet again.
Elaine

Kevin, my dear brother,
When we were little, you, Brian and Elaine always looked out for me. Even when I was just in kindergarten, I understood the very proud tone in your voice, whenever you introduced me to your friends as “my little sister”. I walked between you and Brian, hanging on to your arms for the mile trek to St. Boniface school. You both walked so fast, my feet barely touched the ground sometimes, and every now and then I purposely lifted them to swing and let out a laugh. I remember once on the way home, a girl passing by us made a point of saying a very cheerful ‘hello’ to me, then she said to her friend, “that’s little Lydia Coughlin” with the same glowing intonation as you did. I remember it so well, and that girl was Karen!
Right from young years, you all made me feel very special; and you continued to do so, for all the years. I remember several times sitting at the kitchen table doing homework on Rossander, and you came home from working with Art. You sat at the table to eat the dinner that Mom had saved for you, and you always asked me about my day and we carried on good conversations. You mentored me about dealing with certain situations while growing up, you taught me how to drive a stick in one lesson in the empty lot of the Ellington Go station, with Dad’s car; then you totally trusted me to drive your precious TR7 the next time out, while I still only had my 365 license. You were truly giving me lessons in much more than just driving. The love, confidence, trust and respect you gave me forever continued.
You are now gone from my sight, but not from my thoughts, memories and my heart. You are still truly a special big brother.

Kevin, we have such wonderful memories of great times with you and Karen (and Brian) through our teen years and into our 30's before moving to the US. So many great times including Acapulco, cottage, jamming at parties, Dodge Coronet, TR7, your wedding, dinners at each others homes, the growth of your family and many more.
You always were an incredibly positive individual, with a great smile, always welcoming and kind to others and a joy to be around. While I regret not doing a better job of keeping in contact over the last several years, I'm extremely grateful and honored to be your friend, and I'm a better person for it.
We send prayers and positive thoughts and energy for healing to Karen, Brian and the entire Coughlin family. Love, Leslie & Dave Canham

Kevin was one of the nicest people I knew at Coppinwood. Always had a smile on his face, always said hello to everyone, and had the neatest locker in the whole room. So many of us will miss him dearly. My thoughts go out to his family and all of his friends. Too young to leave us but at the same time left us with many memories that will be cherished.

Kevin was one of the most generous and kind people I’ve ever known. He always had such a calm and safe presence.
I’ll always remember stopping at Tim Hortons to get our bagels before ringette tournaments with him. He would let Sarah and I listen to whatever music we wanted the whole drive. I have so many fond memories with him in those years that I will treasure greatly.
Our heartfelt condolences to the Coughlin family; Kevin's impact will be treasured by all who were fortunate enough to know him. He is deeply missed and fondly remembered.

I had the wonderful privilege to know Kevin many years ago when he and Ian started BMI! We were so excited for them and with them. It was such a gift to watch how he was able to work along side Ian with a smile always keeping Ian focused and moving forward. Kevin’s quiet demeanour and pleasant smile brought a very calming and confident air to every discussion.
Our office was very fortunate to have had this opportunity to share with him and learn from him! Why God has chosen to take him home so early we do not know, but we can rest assured that he is now with his Lord without pain.
I want to send my condolences and love to Karen and his family, and thank them for sharing him with us. I know you have lost a beautiful husband, father, and grandfather, but I also know he had a strong belief in his Lord, which is and was so very comforting. Blessings to you all as you share together your many memories.
To all Kevin’s work brothers and partners…. Look back and remember such a strong and wonderful example of a man and focus on modelling yourselves after him. If you do so, you will be a much stronger individual!
Goodbye my friend Kevin, until we meet again.
Doug Humphries.

Dearest Karen and Family, you could not have picked a picture that was more "Kevin".
It is how we have always seen him in our minds when we have thought of him and how we will always think of him in the future.
A smiling, happy, warm and generous man and wonderful human being.
Kevin will live forever in our hearts. Katie and JJ have been recalling the day we all stripped out the old house before demolition, the kids quoting Monty Python skits with Kevin joining right in and all laughing their hearts out
Our deepest sympathies do not seem enough but we are thinking of you and the family.
All our love
