My condolences to Val, Carrie, Jason and all your family. Bob was very dear to me. Bob and Val were my parents, Brian and Bev Warriner, closest friends. I knew Bob since I was a young girl. My mom and Val worked at Bell together for many years and became friends and of course my dad and Bob became friends. They were alike in many ways. My parents, Bob and Val had great times together including their vacations together. Lots of stories to tell. Our families were close. I would babysit Carrie and Jason whenever Bob and Val needed me. Bob was caring, full of life, had a great sense of humour, great laugh and loved his family and friends. I have this picture of Bob with my husband and I at my mom’s house for her birthday on August 18, 2016. Even though when we visited Val and Bob and saw how Bob was affected by this horrible type of Parkinson disease, I will always remember the healthy Bob like in this picture.
Rest in peace Bob. I will miss you.❤️

I as Bobs sister lived a completely different life with him than the other girls , for some reason I was chosen to be his boxing, fighting partner he’d tackle me , throw me over his shoulders, you name it but I stood up to it all and hey sometimes I’d surprise him at times. He had broken and fractured my fingers once, scared as hell he ran and got some Vaseline and ice, covered it and begged me to please don’t tell Mom and Dad, so agreed, I held off as long as I could until the throbbing got so bad that I had no choice but to go to the parents, well they were so mad that I had waited till 9pm to tell them, as for Bob I’m sure father took care of that. But as time past and we were all having our families, it was great, always did so many things together as our children were growing. Now comes my time for all the abuse I took from him and as opportunity presented itself I went for it and showed him what he had created . We were at one of the parks that we went to celebrating a event, I had gone in the Johnny on the spot, while in there the boys decide to tip it over , the girls tried to get them to stop all this blue chemical pouring out , finally got out and the women were at Bob and him laughing backing up as they came at him, he was so involved with them, teasing and laughing, so opportunity open, I broke from the pack and ran as quickly away from his vision and then kept running a bit ahead of him as I closed in I pounce in the air arms out around his neck and down he went, his eyes were so big, he looked at me at said”Where the F did you come from you frick’n aka squaw. Sweet moment
My brother was cool and I held him high. He was so giving, loved his parents to death, loved his siblings always, we’re not perfect in no means but Bob loved the family unit. He was never without a smile , don’t get me wrong he had his ups and downs in life but in general he was happy, he had a great partner and they lived their life to its fullest and shared it with plenty others. Thank you my dearest brother for being there us all, you will always be part of me in life and death. RIP and send our love to those that have past. Your loving sister Peggy

To my Big Brother,
You were my mentor and the rock of our family. Although we were very different from each other, you were always my Big Brother. I had the pleasure of working with you for 44 years, some of which was good and some bad, you taught me so much.
You always pushed me and kicked my ass accordingly and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. You were always a leader in everything you did.
I find myself reminiscing a lot the last few days…thinking back to our Caroline Ave. days when we were horsing around in our room and you knocked me out, I woke up with you running water on my face in the laundry room sink then paying me $0.25 not to tell Mom and Dad.
From the time when you had me washing the Roadrunner and Amoralling the tires and chalking the white letters on your Mickey Thompson’s…I remember us taking the hunting safety course together and then going out hunting, while I was looking for deer you were walking beside me with the barrel of the gun pointing at my head…
During our hockey days, I would attempt to skate around you and you would grab me with those big hands and take me down….your hockey nickname was Crazy Legs because of your skating skills LOL….
I have many fond memories of the years we shared together, you will forever be my Big Brother and I hope you know that you will always hold a very special place in my heart.

I have only known Bob and his family for a short while, working mostly under the management of his son Jason. Bob was never a man to mix his words, but he has also passed on a wisdom of treating his employees as a member of their own.
During the short few visits Bob, made to sites I was on, I would observe a pride in his eyes that never diminished. Even though it came to a point he couldn't say what he wanted, he certainly let you see it. You could see his true grit of wanting to dive in and help. It was an inspiration all of us should have fed from.

Bob and the whole Hendricksen family were a part of our summers at our cottage on Glenrest Dr. Numerous beers shared, not to mention the occasional cigar, while we puttered around and solved most of the world's problems!
Bob was the de facto mayor of our stretch of cottage road. Always ready with sound advice and happy to pitch in and help if needed.
Bob, you will be sorely missed, but will always be a part of our happy summers on Simcoe.

Bob was a hands on contractor that got straight to the heart of any problem. He had no patience for BS.
A great contributor to our HCAT meetings, particularly early and late! Lots of fun on the golf course too. Bob was never hesitant to say the things that needed to be said and keep our meeting focused on critical issues. We'll toast you at our September meeting Bobby!
