I am going to share a wonderful memory of my Tante Mia. Us Theim boys were quite young, Ron was maybe 10, I was 8 and Rick was 6. It was in December and my Dad was working. Mom got a chance to work overtime, so she asked her sister Mia to come and look after us. My Onkel Oka, must have been working as well, as she took a bus from her home in Downsview to our house (walking down the hill) as we did not have bus service in the valley at the time. Mia thought it would be a great surprise to get a Christmas tree and have it decorated before my Mom got home from work. So the 3 of us boys and Tante Mia got out our toboggan, and went up the hill to the Dominion Store on Dundas to get a tree. By the time my Mom came home, it was all decorated. Mom was shocked.
That was Mia, always looking out for other and helping out when anyone needed anything. I do not have many pictures of Mia, but did find this wonderful picture of the two sisters on my phone. It was taken in Mar of 2022, when Susan, Julia and I made a trip back during our Spring break. Claudia met us at her home and we had a wonderful visit. Mia recognized Susan right away. Going to miss you Mia!! Love Erwin, Susan, Julia & Nicola.

Mia will always have a special place in my heart that I will cherish forever. Your love and kindness was felt by everyone that had the pleasure to meet you. I have been so fortunate to be able to spend so many special occasions with you. We will miss you greatly.

I remember we use to get together a least 1 or 2 times a. Year! We always had a great time! We would go camping a couple times! We always did something. It was always just great getting together. I miss those times.

Ludmilla always greeted me with a smile and a hug. When she knew I was visiting she often made my favourite apple cake that she was famous for. I hope her quiet soul can now finally rest and be pain-free. Oskar was waiting for her
