Obituary of Gail Fry

Gail Pauline Fry age 69 passed away from cancer as a result of a line of duty death on Wednesday November 1st 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Gail is survived by her loving husband Larry Fry of 24 years; her loving sons James (Shannon) and Paul; Her Grandchildren Emersyn and Rylee; Her father Metro Demcheson; Siblings Gord (Rita) Demcheson, Carol Dunkley, and Sue (Mike) Brown; Her Devoted nephew Michael (Marcia) Dunkley and her dearest friend Diane Cleveland. Predeceased in death by her Mother, Giselle Demcheson.

Gail was born on July 27^th 1954 in North Bay, Ontario to parents Metro and Giselle. Gail went on to pursue a career with the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters, obtaining the rank of Captain until her retirement in 2019.

Gail was a very social, active resident of the Bloom Retirement home in Oshawa, Ontario. Her family, friends and colleagues will all remember her as a kind and loving person.

A Celebration of Gails life will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa on Thursday Febuary 29th at 12:00pm.   Visitation will commence at 11:00am
