Obituary of Wendy Nunn

A Mother’s love cannot be bound by life or death, it is a force of nature that cannot be tamed or contained. It is a love that is boundless and infinite.

Wendy Marilyn Nunn died peacefully in the arms of her loving daughter at Lakeridge Health Port Perry on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 in her 74th year.  She will be greatly missed by her daughter Jenny(Chris) and her beloved grandson Jackson. She will be lovingly remembered by all her family in Northern Ontario, best friends from her days at Queen’s University, and by all of those for whom she blazed a trail as a strong woman in executive board rooms, demanding equitable, professional, and fair opportunities for women in the work force.

She will be missed by many dear friends she met while volunteering for organizations such as TAGS; The Animal Guardian Society and

The Denise House; a shelter and support for women and children of domestic violence.

She will be embraced into the heavens by her brother; Alan Nunn, her mother; Myrtle Nunn nèe Willard , and her father; Isaac Nunn.

A special thank you to the staff at Lakeridge Health Port Perry for taking such great care of Wendy during her stay.

 

A celebration of life is to be held in her honour, the summer of 2024.
