Jim and I are saddened to hear the news of Joe's passing. What a fun man he was! Who could forget the entertainment he hired for one of Carol's milestone birthdays, and graciously losing to us at Bocce Ball at the trailer. He sure was proud of his family and made visitors very welcome. Carol, you are in our thoughts. We have such fond memories of Joe and times with your both. Jim and Barb Gray

Dear Carol, Stacey and Mike,
Our deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved Joe, great husband and father. Amongst many other things, we fondly remember the times in Markham on the deck with wine and many laughs. Joe was a good friend and neighbour and we will always remember him. May the many memories of the happy times with Joe sustain you. Rest in Peace Joe.

Dear Carol, Stacey and Andrew, Michael and Lauren, Max, Charlotte, Alyssa, Isla and Liliana: Sending you love and hugs to get you through this sorrowful time - there are many happy memories that will help you get through - Joe made me laugh alot, he tried so valiantly to encourage my guitar playing, alas the guitar sits collecting dust, hopefully not for long. We spent time discussing wine making (or was it drinking?) and growing tomatoes, and exchanged stories of exploding bottles (although root beer is not wine) or how to deal with slugs in the garden and his favourite topic bragging about his grandkids - he was so down to earth and generous of his time, I know he will be missed by many family, friends and neighbours. Lots of love and peace, Margaret, Tom, Elizabeth and Heather Loftus. Photo from retirement 2017

Dear Carol, Stacey, Mike and all.
Our hearts are broken at the news of Joe's passing. He was/is one of a kind. There will never be another Joe. We have many wonderful memories to see us all through. May his love and your memories sustain you all as you navigate your way through your grief. Joe was passionate about life and will be sorely missed. His unbounded energy left us all spinning in awe. There is hardly an activity undertaken that could not bring memories of Joe alive. Sending our love to everyone.
Ron, Mary and all our family.

My fondest memories of Joe are when the two of us would get together on Thursday evenings in Markham to jam with our guitars. We shared our enthusiasm for the instrument and we sure had fun. Whenever I pick up my guitar now, I think of Joe and the good times we had.

My Uncle Joe was an amazing man. As a child, he was an inspiration to work hard and laugh often. He always had a joke and a magic trick up his sleeve. At family events, he was the person to be near if you wanted to have a fun time! I will always cherish the good advice that you have me as a new mom, to just always lead with love. It has helped me through all the ups and downs and I'm grateful for the example you set for me. Thank you for being a great example of how to live with integrity, loyalty, and patience. Love you forever!
