..My Memory of Oma, was when John visited the
apartment to fix the aircon in the middle of a
hot summer.
We were surrounded by half a dozen plants in the
kitchen, that were placed out of the way so John
could maneuver. Before we left, she gave me
a pair of "snuggies", which are in my drawer
protecting personal items, still today.
Beautiful wool -- beautifully knitted
-- wonderfully done!
..I first met Oma, when John invited me to visit
with his parents who lived in South Oshawa.
We spent our time in an Amazing Grape-House
Patio that overlooked a huge garden.
Oma and all of us, inspected this awesome
garden. It was organized --
I mean really organized --
producing heads and roots of things
I had never heard of.
And, everything was being preserved
in ways unimaginable.
..As were leaving the apartment, Oma told me
that she enjoyed the people in her building
and that she was in walking-distance
of her parish, that was so much of
her life and that sustained her.
..Thank You, Oma

Dear John, Janice, Mary, Mike, Frank, Cheryl and grand/great grandchildren:
Deepest sympathies...we are so sorry for your loss. Sending prayers of love and comfort.
To us, our 'Tante Mary' will always be the quintessential warm, loving, sweet and uniquely funny Aunt. We admire how she lived her faith and embodied a true spirit of goodness and light. We cherish our memories of stories she told us and times we spent together...we even have Sasha, our soon to be 9 year old, quoting Tante Mary sayings. It's beautiful to see such a loving and enduring legacy. Like many others, we too still have many of the wonderful knitted slippers, baby clothes and blankets she made for us. My Mama and her were such close friends and hopefully they and all our other loved ones are together again.
Forever in our hearts.
With all our love and condolences,
Marianne and family xoxoxo

We have many fond memories of our step-mother, Mitzi. We remember the delicious meals that she made for the family when we visited with her and Fred. There was always a crowd as can be seen at Franconia Farm, RR# 2 Seagrave, Ontario after the family skating party on 26 January 1997.

Mary, Mike, Christopher and Emily.
My condolences on the loss of Mitzi (Oma KK). A lovely and kind hearted person I've had the pleasure of getting to know these past years.
I have many pairs of her knitted slippers and will think fondly of her each time I wear them!
Keeping you all in my prayers and thoughts.
Much Love,
Karen
