Obituary of Annunziata Belmonte
Please share a memory of Annunziata to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
In loving memory of Annunziata Belmonte, a woman of remarkable strength, resilience, and timeless elegance.
On Sunday, April 21st, the world bid farewell to a beloved matriarch whose passion for life left an enduring legacy.
Born December 14th, 1927, Annunziata spent her childhood years in Italy, where she met her husband Egidio and married on August 20, 1952. They expanded their family with the birth of their son, Angelo, and their daughter, Rosa. In search of better opportunities, they officially migrated to Canada in April 1965, where shortly after, they had their last child, Carla. Their family was finally complete.
Beyond her resilience, Annunziata sincerely appreciated beauty and style. Even at 96, she could never go a day without her colourful "rouge," red lips, freshly painted nails, signature hairstyle and purse always in tow. More is More was not always her beauty philosophy, but it was always better for her in every aspect of life—more time with her loved ones and her husband, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. More time in life was what she had always wanted. And she fought hard to absorb all this love as long as possible. Until she could no longer.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Egidio in 2013 and her beautiful daughter Carla in 2019. She was survived by her son Angelo, daughter Rosa and her sons-in-law, Lorenzo and Salvatore Mottile. Her grandchildren, Antonietta (Husband Jason), Nancy, Peter, Pietro, Sabrina, Carolina, Egidio, Olivia ( Husband Mike), and Melissa (Husband Gerardo). And her great-grandchildren, Martina, Rocco, Juliana, Massimo, Dante, Drea and Via.
Annunziata leaves a legacy of love, courage, and beauty in her passing. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever live on in the cherished memories.
