Cala and Macayla, we are saddened to learn of the loss of your husband and dad. Your family has been such a warm presence on Camelot and won’t be the same without Art. We will miss the friendly chats, his sense of humour and compassion and his amazing smile. He was always so proud of Macayla and it was a joy to see her grow to be such a beautiful, strong and successful young woman. You were a great dad Art. Art was always so kind and friendly to Jen, even when she got older and was being “Jen” he would go out of his way to make her smile. Art was a truly wonderful person and will be forever remembered.

When I walked Whiskey at night, we always made Art’s Mancave part of our route! Whiskey and Art were fond of each other as were our other dogs familiar with Art’s love for them.
Despite health difficulties over the years, I don’t remember Art ever complaining. I do remember his love of music and for reminiscing about things we did as preteens trying to be cool! Lol I especially remember his compassion-always listening and not interrupting my tears when times were tough.
We’ll all miss your friendly presence scootering around the neighborhood, Art!
Our hearts go out to you, Cala and Macayla.
Our waterfall and teapot are here when you’re ready…

Artie (Arthur Jr.) the Murphy family’s eldest Grandson of Gertrude & Ted Murphy, proud Son of Marlene & Arthur Murphy Sr. and eventually had 16 + Murphy first cousins. When competing during the MURPHY OLYTPIC GAMES, family reunions and when WE “Murphys”, would actually win a point, Artie would gather around loudly chant these words with his Murphy blood team mats (the Green hats).
The competitive games where played against any none Murphy (the black hat) relatives.
Fun was always had by all!
Being a very proud Auntie, as infants, I got to babysit both Kelly & Artie!
Artie liked to be the little trickster, loved to make people laugh and of course get his Sister in trouble. LOL.
Over the years, he became a very loving, compassionate, caring adult and managed to keep his since of humour.
Thank you Cala and Mccayla for completing his world!

It was Sept. 1990 when Artie showed up totally unexpectedly in my hospital room in Cornwall with a gift for my newborn baby. If I'm not mistaken, my son still has that Bart Simpson piggy bank.
Cala and Macayla, both Jack and I are wishing you comfort and strength during this difficult time. Sending a warm embrace and love.
