I attended Holy Cross and Central Collegiate with Ellen and remember her as a fun-loving and sometimes mischievous classmate who had a wonderful sense of humour. When she got her first teaching job at Holy Cross, we spent hours decorating her first classroom - she was so looking forward to teaching! Her students were fortunate indeed as she seemed to be a natural-born teacher. She even gave me my first driving lesson. Ellen loved to sing and was gracious enough to sing at Tony’s and my wedding ceremony 50 years ago. She will be sorely missed.
Sincere condolences to Kate and Bill and family, Con Keppel, Greg and Suzanne, friends and former students. Rest in peace, dear Ellen.
