Safe in the arms of Jesus, Gerry passed away on November 3, 2014, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, with his loving wife of 30 years, by his side, at age 77. Gerry of Oshawa, and formerly of Brantford, is the beloved husband of Carolyn (nee Bessant). Loved father of Lynn, James, John (Alice), and step-father of Wendi (Chad) and Jill (Steve). Cherished grampa of 8 grandchilden, and 4 great grandchildren. Much loved brother of Doreen (Al), Diane (Donnie), and Norma (Roger). Will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held at the Salvation Army Oshawa Temple, 570 Thornton Road, Oshawa, ON, on Saturday, November 8th, from 12:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted to DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, ON (south side of Taunton Road, just east of Thornton Road, 905-440-3595).
