Jimmy's parents Russ & Beatty were best of friends with my parents Ken and Doreen Marshall since the early 1950s. I can still remember our Sunday hikes to the great outdoors along the Don River with my father, Russ Jimmy and good friend Roger. Jimmy had a talent for carving neat designs on small tree limbs he would find on these outdoor expeditions. Summer vacation consisted of the annual trip to Hills Cabins in Midland, along with Steve and Margaret Miller and daughters Marsha & Peggy. We will always cherish our time together. Years later the Millers rented then bought a cottage on Bass Lake and the good times continued on. I know that Jimmy loved these times with family and friends and years later we would reminisce about the good old days. Jimmy had a great memory about these fun times and loved telling the stories "do you remember when". Jimmy always had a great sense of humour and a sharp mind even in later years. He will be greatly missed.
