Obituary of Nancy Eden

With heavy heart, we announce the passing of Nancy Jean Eden, aged 87, who passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024, at Lakeridge Health Ajax.

Beloved wife to the late Earl Eden for 57 devoted years, Nancy was a dedicated mother to Karen (Jos) Reijnen and is predeceased by her cherished children, Brenda (Kevin) Gallogley and Larry Eden.

Nancy’s dedication to her career as a proud member of the nursing staff at Bendale Acres was truly inspiring. Her compassion and care touched many lives, and she found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including her love for cinema, her skill as an avid knitter, and her unwavering support for the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Blue Jays.

Nancy’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Crystal, Michael (Shayna), Jeffery (Sheri), Matthew (Jessica), Katrina, James, and Kyle, as well as her great-grandchildren, Katrina, William, Isabella, Piper, Orion, Jacob, Jade, Scarlett, and Lucy.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Christine, Henry, and their family for the unwavering love and support shown to Nancy over the years. Special thanks also to the staff at Lakeridge Gardens for their compassionate care.

A service to honour Nancy’s life will be held at De Stefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, Ontario L1J 0C7, on Thursday, November 21st from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Nancy will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared with those around her. Her passing has left a void in our lives that can never be filled, but we take solace in the memories we shared with her.
