It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Veronica (Beverly) Seale, a devoted mother, beloved wife, and cherished friend. Beverly peacefully left this world on December 26, 2024, surrounded by the love and care of her children.
Born in Walkers, St. Andrew, Barbados, Beverly was the heartbeat of her family. Her life was defined by her steadfast devotion to God and her unwavering commitment to her family, she had an innate ability to bring laughter that brightened the lives of those she loved.
She was the dedicated wife of the late Balfour Seale, and a proud, loving mother to her two children, Le-Tanya Seale Glasgow and Balfour Seale II. Beverly adored her role as “Nana” to her lovely granddaughters, Tahlia Glasgow and Anaïs Seale, who were the lights of her life.
She will be deeply missed by her son-in-law, Carlos Glasgow, and daughter-in-law, Moné-Renata Holder Seale, whose lives she touched with her warmth and wisdom.
Beverly was a cherished sister to Fitzgerald Maycock (Merle), Maureen Gibson (Errol), Anderson Maycock, the late Leroy and Alfred Maycock, and Kathleen Maycock Stuart. Sister-in-law of Siva Bradshaw, Haldane Bowen, Lorraine Ellis, and Wesmona Seale.
Her circle of love extended to her “sister by love,” Evelyn Baker (Cameron), and her cousin/ “brother by love,” Anthony Mayers (Pansy). Beverly was a treasured aunt to Antoinette Maycock, Wayne, Steve and Mekhi Gibson, Kathleen Maycock, Cheryl and Michelle Baker and many others. She was also a beloved cousin to Juliette Benjamin, Diana Jones and many others; relative of the Benjamin, Mayers, Maycock and Seale families. Friend of Marva Hinds, Hyacinth Sargeant, Emerson Farley and Joy Shepherd.
Her beautiful spirit will be celebrated on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at De Stefano Funeral Home 1289 Keith Ross Dr, in Oshawa, Ontario. The family will receive visitors starting at 12:00 pm, with the service to honor her life beginning at 1 pm, followed by the interment at Thornton Cemetery, Cremation, and Funeral Centre.
