Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, January 2, 2015, at age 51. Wendy (nee Nieuwendyk), beloved wife of Derek. Adored mother of Ryan and Kianna. Loved daughter of Gord and the late Joanne Nieuwendyk. Dear sister of Rick, Gilbert, and Joe. Will also be missed by her many, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, in-laws, and friends. A special thank you to, Lori, Lesley, Pat, Lori, and the staff of the Durham Regional Cancer Centre, for all of their care and support. A Celebration of Wendy’s life will be held in the Chapel of the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa(south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road)905-440-3595, on Wednesday, January 7th at 2:00pm. Reception to follow in the Aviation Lounge of the DeStefano Funeral Home.
