Peacefully, on Sunday, February 8, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at age 83. Beloved husband of the late Joanne (nee Beukeboom). Loving father of Rick, Gil, Joe, and the recently late Wendy. Loved opa of Jennifer, Kristine, Jodi, Chase, Tyler, Ryan, Kianna, Tyra, Jackson, and Kaycee. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Stroke Unit of Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their relentless comfort given. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road)905-440-4595 on Wednesday, February 11th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 903 Giffard Street, Whitby, on Thursday, February 12th at 10 am. Interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. Reception to follow in the Aviation Lounge of the DeStefano Funeral Home. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Lakeridge Health Foundation “Stroke Unit”. Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
