Obituary of Maria Salemi

Passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2015 surrounded by the love of her family. Beloved wife of Sam for 51 years. Loving mother of Frank(Mary), Pina(Franco) and Margaret(Tony). Cherished Nonna of Nicole, Alessandra, Sam, Kayla, Lucio, Ben and Sammy. Dear sister of Pina(Bruno) and Fortunata(Nuccio) and sister in law of Nella(John), Lucia(the late Corrado)and the late Sebastiano(the late Paolina). Maria will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and caregivers of St. Elizabeth for their loving care for mom. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23rd from 7-9pm and on Friday, April 24th from 2-4 & 6-9pm at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa(south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road)905-440-3595. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 25th at 10:30am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby. Entombment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
