Our condolences to you Darlene and your family. I worked with Bruce in the early days @ B&W and later on at OPG and will certainly miss his mischievous wit and humour. He was dedicated to his work and certainly enjoyed the great outdoors. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers!

We have been truly fortunate to have such kind and thoughtful neighbours like Bruce (and Darlene). Here on the 'Crescent", there are about 5 houses of caring and friendly neighbours and of course, Bruce was one of them. There were always times when we didn't know who had picked up the empty recycle bins (and placed them conveniently in front of our garage) or who had ridden the mouth of our driveway of snow after a big storm. But we know that Bruce sometimes had a part in that. We shall miss his efforts to lend a hand. He should know that we will all be 'looking out' for Darlene as much as we can now.
For my part, I tried my best to give Bruce words of encouragement and support during his cancer journey. It is never an easy thing to talk about but Bruce had a special knack for keeping his outlook upbeat and his determination positive. It inspired me greatly.
Next year when our apple tree blossoms, there will also be memories of our soft spoken, mild mannered neighbour, Bruce. Who knew that so many apples could feed so many deer? :)
We will keep our 'unspoken' promise to help out Darlene, daughters and family. Bruce will be missed! With fondness, Linda and Jim

Those of us who are blessed with the eddy current steam generator and heat exchanger inspection systems as they are right now owe a great debt to Bruce. His knowledge and technical leadership greatly influenced how these systems evolved over the years. The inspection procedures and training material have his fingerprints all over them and I believe that they will continue to be there for the foreseeable future. We miss him, but we cherish his memory and honour his legacy.

I knew Bruce since the 80's. His friendly demeanour, insight and integrity were his trademark. A person you can count on in time of need. I counted him as friend and appreciated his help over the many years of interrogating the steam generators. Bruce was highly respected from his peers and professional staff. His contribution to qualitative inspection results will be sadly missed but more importantly himself.
Cheers Bruce, we miss you,
Joe van Langen, P.Eng

I'm very sorry to learn that Bruce has passed away. I had the privilege to work with him on several occasions whenever we were trying new technology or there was one of those inspection crisis when all hands on deck were called. I was always admired his knowledge and experience, but more importantly, his excellent disposition and interest in trying new things. He will be sadly missed..

My condolences to Bruce's Family and friends. Bruce left us way too soon and will be deeply missed. As a co-worker in the nuclear field, I was always impressed with his knowledge and passion for our part in the inspection process. His integrity and willingness to mentor new analysts was his strength. May you know and sense the Lord's comfort during the days and months ahead.
