My name is Melina and I am a close family friend of Greg's - I've known him my whole life. I had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful Katrina Stanojevich a handful of times, I could tell by her interaction with my 80 pound golden retriever, look of adoration for Greg, and close personal relationship with the McIlmoyle family that Greg had found a real gem. Days turned into months which turned into years, I would see beautiful pictures of Kat and Greg and the whole McIlmoyle family and I could see their love grow. No doubt they were robbed of a bright future together. So what I would like to leave here is both a message of gratitude, as well as a message of condolence. To the family and friends of Katrina, I am so deeply sorry for the loss of this beautiful girl. To her mother who I met briefly at the Tuesday night visitation, thank you for bringing this amazing girl into the world. Lastly, Katrina - thank you. Thank you for giving someone who is so dear to my heart a beautiful experience of true love. Thank you for bringing life and love into his heart, for being his companion, and for giving him something that makes saying goodbye to, so very hard. Your love story may have been numbered to 628 days, but I am grateful for every single one of those days, for you gave Greg the love of a lifetime. To Greg - love never dies, only people do. May you find peace in knowing that your love for one another will always be ever-present, lean on those memories of good times and hold them dear to your heart. Rest in Peace Kat.

From the first time you entered our home we fell in love with you. We felt your warmth, your compassion, your sense of humour. You have a special and unique way of making each one of us feel special and loved. You are a complete package wrapped up in one amazing bow, from your artistic side with paintings, poetry to your amazing photography. Your contagious laughter and smile could only be summed up to spectacular. Your beauty could be seen from the outside yet it never compared to your beauty that comes from within. Your patience and determination to pick yourself up and brush it off and move forward is one of the things I admire the most. You and Greg made one, one love that is complete. you were both amazing together, you taught him what true love is. You could of been anything you wanted yet you were enrolled to become a nurse one profession that is at the top of the list for Caring. Your support for animals just shows how diverse you are with your love and compassion. I have learnt a lot from knowing you. I loved you like my own and cherish each and every moment we have. I just heard the sad news of such a wonderful neighbor I grew up with and still can't believe your gone Katrina. You had such a great attitude and beautiful smile and just an all around wonderful women. Kat always could make anyone look good in a photo. She got me in to photography.
