SKUPIEN, Maksymilian “Max” – (Retired from General Motors, previously worked for City of Oshawa, Sklar-Peppler and spent many years working as a Chief Surveyor in Poland’s coal mines)
It is with deep sadness and love I announce the passing of my husband, father, grandfather and brother at the age of 73 on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Loving husband of Stefania for 54 years. Cherished father Arek(Barbara) and Marek. Beloved grandfather to Michael, Nicholas, Karolina and Dominik. Brother to Teresa (Jan), Peter (Danuta), Barnard, Henryka, Krystina (Peter) and Malgorzata (Janusz). He will be greatly missed by all of his cousins, nieces and nephews Jacek, Monika, Grazyna, Sebastian, Adrian, Alexandra, Anna, Victor, Sonia, Robert, Christopher, Artur in Canada, Germany and Poland. Predeceased by his parents Anna and Alojzy. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to family and friends here in Canada and in Poland for all of their love and support. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa(south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Friday, February 3rd from 6:00-9:00pm, with Rosary at 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 11:00am at St. Hedwig’s Polish Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Thornton Cemetery.
