HERRERA, Edgardo “Ed” “Totoy” Mayuga
A leader, a passionate human being and a sentimental man. Ed passed away with his family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 8:41 pm. He was a devoted husband for 43 years of Connie and a loving Tatay (father) of Mae (Rob), Jowenne (Ian), Lee Edgar (Eilyn) and Conilyn (Victoria). An endearing Lolo (grandfather) of Mateo, Norah, Nathan, Jules and Zahra. A 3-day visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595 on:Friday March 31st from 6:00-8:00 pm, Saturday, April 1st from 4:00-6:00 pm, Sunday, April 2nd from 2:00-4:00pm & 6:00-8:00 pm (vigil/eulogy will take place Sun, 6 – 8 pm). A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at St. Bernadette’s Roman Catholic Church, 21 Bayly Street East, Ajax on Monday, April 3rd at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery at 7770 Steeles Avenue East, Markham. Ed valued the people that has helped him and his family – and in lieu of flowers and/or gifts, he would like for you to “give back” and make donations directly to St Michael’s Hospital Foundation (Cardiac and Kidney Transplant Units) and/or to the Lakeridge Health Foundation (Whitby Dialysis Unit).
