Obituary of Olimpia Portincasa

PORTINCASA, Olimpia

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 2, 2017 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.  Beloved wife of Vito for 54 years.  Devoted mother of Gina and Vince (Michelle).  Cherished Nonna of Alexandra, Victoria, Jack and Nolan.  Dear sister of Gaetano, Dina (Antonio), Maria (Ugo), Nicola and the late Lucia (Vincenzo).  Olimpia will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends here and in Italy.  Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Sunday, September 10th from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-9:00pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish, 91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby on Monday, September 11th at 10:30am.  Entombment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.  In memory of Olimpia, donations may be made to Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre.  Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
