On the morning of September 5th Dennis Ralph McGennis opened his beautiful blue eyes to his wife for the final time. Shortly after he peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family, to be with his Lord.  

He was a proud employee of the Toronto Star for 49 years. He was an avid wood worker and outdoorsman and enjoyed private time at his cabin with his dogs. 

He is survived by his wife of 5o years Donna; sons Ian and Brett ; their wives Kimberly and Jennifer; grand children Sarah, Liam, Caitlin and Lauryn and brother Bryan.

He is predeceased by sisters Donna, Norma Rae and Irene and granddaughter Rachel.
