Obituary of Anton "Tony" Vandervoort

VANDERVOORT, Anton (Tony)

Passed away suddenly on September 12, 2017 in Oshawa.  Loving husband of Corry for 50 years. Devoted father of Louise (David) Cancilla, Michael, Yvonne (Marko) Naterer and Tom (Kelli).  Cherished Opa of Monika, Isabel, Gabriella, Daniel, Lucas, Matthew, Marcus and Nicole.  Dear brother of Patty, Ria, Corrie (of the Netherlands), Dorothy of Oakville and the late Dick, Leo, Art and Simon. Anton will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends both here and in the Netherlands.  Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Friday, September 15th from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm with prayers at 7:45pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory the Great Parish, 194 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa on Saturday, September 16th at 10:30am.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby.  In memory of Anton, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
