Obituary of William Shigeru Oyagi

OYAGI, William “Bill” (former owner of Durham Home Hardware, former President of the Whitby Historical Society)

Passed away at home on February 20, 2018 at the age of 84.  Loving father of Monique (Howard) and Grant (Sandra).  Cherished grandpa of Krystina (David).  Dear brother of Tad (Jenny), George (Rose) and the late Tom and May (Frank).  Survived by his sister-in-law Doreen.  Bill will be lovingly remembered by Monique and Grant’s mother Maggie, and by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Sunday, February 25^th from 1:00-2:30pm.  A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel at 2:30pm. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre which the Oyagi family have been very committed to over the years.
