Obituary of Jonathan Storm

Passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2018.  Cherished and loving son of Sofia.  Loving brother of Linda (Juan) Labbe, Mark (Karolina) Gasior and Cindy Gasior (Nelson Fung). Beloved grandson of the late Halina Majerczyk.  Jon and his life partner shared an incredible love, one that is inadequate for words.  Their connection was magical and they consumed each other.  Jon brought such light and love to her and her children, his niece and god daughter Sofia, his nephews Joshua and Ethan and he will be forever loved and missed by those whose lives he touched. 

As a finance professional Jon was highly accomplished with his CPA, CMA designations, he was also a member of the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario.  Jon graduated from University of Victoria in 1998 with a Commerce degree (Honours & Dean’s List) and was a member of the Business Faculty Advisory Board. He was an avid reader and seeker of great knowledge and experiences. He loved adventures and embarked on life as his greatest one.  With a black belt in martial arts, beautiful guitarist and accordionist, he spoke Spanish and Polish and travelled extensively.  He was extremely analytical and sought by his colleagues, teams, clients, friends and family as a subject matter expert in his field.

Jon will be dearly missed by all those he touched.  His impact was profoundly intense, he brought calm to chaos and he loved and cared without limits and boundaries.   The void of losing him is eternal. His life will forever live in the memory of all whom loved him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 20th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 21st at 1:30pm at St. Hedwig Parish, 411 Olive Avenue, Oshawa.  Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby.
