Obituary of Helen May Cotton

Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 87 on May 19, 2019 at Centennial Place Long Term Care, Millbrook.  Beloved wife of the late Alec.  Loving and devoted mother of Marilyn, Bryan and Doug.  Cherished Nana of Shelley & Shannon and cherished great Nana of Kyle, Conner, Mason and Jace. 

Helen was a dedicated, strong, loyal and loving woman-her family meant everything to her.  Her lawns and gardens were always in pristine condition, and it was there she enjoyed sitting on her back swing.  She came from a poor upbringing, and was always self-improving and learning new things.  She was strong in her Christian faith. 

A Celebration of her life will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Sunday, May 26^th at 1:00pm, with visitation from 12:00-1:00pm.  In memory of Helen, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.  Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
