My condolences to the family. I’m still in shock. I look at her beautiful picture and I can’t believe she is gone. She was a ray of sunshine and brightened the room when she walked in. She was my coworker, she had integrity and brought humour to stressful situations, she’d always make me smile or laugh, that I will miss. We would exchange stories of our kids who are similar ages, goalie moms too and the stresses of that that. I know her love, humour and brightness will live on in her kids.

My condolences to the family and many friends Julie has. I had the pleasure of working closely with Julie at Golder on ensuring our many clients were invoiced and Golders financial needs were meet. Julie was an extremely dedicated and thoughtful co worker always willing to assist with any accounting issue. She was extremely easy to work with and diligent with following various accounting practices whlie consistently keeping us in line. Her smile was electrifying and always brightened up the office. I went by Julie’s desk yesterday after everyone had gone home to say my goodbyes and try to find some comfort in this terrible loss of a respected co-worker. As always I was struck by the vast amount of ‘fan mail’, thank you notes, birthday and Christmas cards, tons of art from her children, great family photos with everyone smiling, work literature and reminders, and a sense of organization and tidiness. Julie had achieved that something we all strive for, the elusive work/life balance. She was very good at her job and obviously had a happy family and home life. Good on you, Julie.
