Obituary of Roy Sheppard
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, Roy Joseph Peter Sheppard. He passed away June 10th, 2021 at his home in Salem, Ontario. He was born on April 3rd, 1934 in Brockville, Ontario to Clarence and Helen (Burns) Sheppard. He is predeceased by his wife, “Dodie”, Dorothy Ann Riordan 1929-2020 and his sister Eileen White.
Along with many nieces and nephews he leaves behind his sisters Mary, Joan, Anna-Claire and brother Paul.
He will be sadly missed by his children Therese, Kathleen (Jim), Michael, Mary (John), Paul (Christine) and Colleen. Along with his grandchildren Rebecca, Laura, Michael, Emma, Sarah, Victoria, Jessica, Cassandra, Matthew, Kayla, Andrea and great-grandchildren Adelaide, Lachlan, Amelia, Leela, Sophia and Redmond.
It is a testament to his character to have been able to live out his life on his own accord in his own home. It was attributed by his daily routine filled with fresh air, love of family, good food, faith in God with prayer, and tinkering around in his garage.
As Dad use to say, “So long for now”.
