Marie Ferguson had an amazing bright spirit and this ability to care for others feelings above her own (What a special woman she was). she was and will always be apart of my family as she always made me a part of hers. I'm sad that I did not get to see her one last time, but I'm so very blessed that I have all the memories that my family and her family shared together. Sarah I offer my greatest condolences to you and your family <3<3<3.

Marie and I celebrated New Year’s Eves, and many occasions in years gone by. We went to cottages. We enjoyed steak dinners on our decks, and cheese & red onion sandwiches on lakeside docks. We shared Mother’s Days at Sister’s (she noted) and dined at Bluffer’s Park overlooking Lake Ontario.
Marie was decent and intelligent, dignified, humble and kind. She had a sense of humour, and a generosity of spirit.
She loved Christmas so much she left the tree up until February :) . She wrote genuine, encouraging messages in cards.
She persevered and she loved to learn. She was looking forward to getting out soon when she sent me a card in May.
Marie was a good person.
I am grateful for her love and friendship. And I will miss her.

Dear Ferguson family, My sincerest condolences on Marie’s passing. I enjoyed her company over the years along with John and Diane. We saw each other on many special occasions. She was a lovely, intelligent lady and I am saddened by her sudden passing on. May you find comfort in knowing that many greave with you.

Whenever we talked with Marie, we always learned something. She was very passionate about Womens' rights, politics and travel. Her inspiring story of leaving home for a better education, teaching family law and writing textbooks that are used in school today . We always enjoyed a story from her travel adventures. She was honest and kind will be fondly remembered.
