bela smolenski was my friend and my client. i assisted bela for quite a few years as his personal support worker. this man was like a father to me. we spent so much time talking and picking each others brains. we would talk about his beautiful wife. his family politics and food. he always made me smile. i think he assisted me more than i assisted him. i loved the fact that he would save his used paper towels for cleaning. i have adapted this routine in my life as well. lol i loved how he would talk about his adventures during the war. he had amazing stories and very sad ones as well. i think he was probably the most interesting man i have ever met. i could listen to him for hours. he was always gracious and friendly. i can remember always looking forward to seeing him. he was my favourite client!!! this is such heartbreaking news. maria frank and family. i send my deepest condolences. i will light a candle tonight to honour a man i loved and respected always in my thoughts melinda wade.
