I am heartbroken by the loss of our precious little Reumah. I am honored to have the opportunity to reflect on her life with all of you today.
Born on February 28th 2000, Reumah Gabriella Abraham was raised in a loving and nurturing family with all the care, attention and support she deserved.
In August of 2010, I met Reumah as a little 10-year-old. The first time I saw her, she was drawing with chalk on the sidewalk in front of her house along with her sister. It was the day we had arrived in Canada and her parents were helping us settle down. At their home we were greeted with Reumah’s sweet, shy and welcoming smile. Her gentle and soft nature … and Love for all things pink … drew me to her and immediately I felt an attachment. So, it would not be too much to say that Reumah and Raichelle were the first friends my sister Jeco and I made in Canada.
Being the girlier ones in our respective sister duos, Reumah and I, had a lot in common. We spent a lot of time together painting each others’ nails, talking about Disney Shows and sharing our love of jewelry. She allowed me to be a big sister to her and she often made me handmade bracelets like this one.
One of my most fond memories is when Reumah, Raichelle, jeco and I decorated cupcakes for Mother’s Day. She was very particular about decorating it properly for her mother and put a lot of effort into it. The memories of the laughter, excitement, conversations, and fun we shared that day will always make me smile.
A recent favourite memory of her is during my bridal shower in 2019. She sat right next to me through most of the event. It was crowded and we were really squeezed in on the seat, but she was there holding my hands, laughing (her soft little laugh) and smiling, and just taking everything in. Every time I heard her laugh, it made me feel loved and happy that she was there enjoying and celebrating my occasion with me. I am forever grateful to have been able to be a part of her life.
GG meaning good girl, Glamour girl, glitter girl and Godly girl was a nickname we called her sometimes. I realize now that this nickname reflected different shades of her character. She loved God, loved to dress glamorously with glitter, and was always a good girl to all she met. Every conversation with her reflected her love for the Lord and her faith in him. It often amazed me to see her trust in the Lord and His love, no matter what. I am sure that it was this strong faith that brought her through the ups and downs of all her challenges.
The name Reumah has its origin in the Holy Bible, and it means Exalted or Raised up. True to her name she raised herself up in every situation to fight the good fight of Faith and always raised the name of our Lord Jesus to be the Banner over her life. Though young she has been an inspiration and an example of faith, hope and love to me and many of us present here today.
My dear sweet Reumah, you are gone way too soon, but I look forward to the day I will see you again. Rest easy my beautiful sister and friend. We will miss you. You fought so well, you inspired so many, you loved deeply, you lived a life of faith and hope and no one that ever knew you can ever forget you. I love you.
Eulogy by Joanna Jackson for dear Reumah.

I learnt a lot from Reumah. I had so many WHYs for God. I have been angry and asked God 'WHY' many times. But Reumah was always calm and never grumbled nor angry. That strength from her kept me going..
I would like to read a poem
Reumah my sister: YOU MEANT SO MUCH TO ME
You meant so much to me, and to all of us
Your smile alone warmed my heart
Your laugh was infectious and music to hear
I would give absolutely anything
To have you well and standing near me
Not a day passes when you are not on my mind
Your love I will never forget
The hurt will ease in time
Many tears I have seen and cried
They have all poured out like rain
I know that you are happy now
And no longer in pain.
Your life was a blessing
Your memory a treasure
You are loved beyond words
And missed without measure.
You maybe gone from my side
But never gone from my heart.
MISS you very much Reumah…

Greetings to you all, First I’d like to thank you all for taking time out of your busy lives to spend a few hours with my family today. I know that all of you here had some kind of connection with my beloved daughter Reumah. And I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being with us today. Your presence is needed and very much appreciated.
My beautiful Reumah….I hope as you are looking down from Heaven that you are able to see how much you were adored, admired, and so so loved. Never ever did I think that God would decide to call you home so soon. You have fought long, hard hospitalizations and battles for the last few years and you fought like a warrior every step of the way. God was with you in every step. Reumah is an amazingly sweet and gentle soul. She was always thoughtful, she always kissed me goodnight, and kissed me good morning. She was daddy’s girl, She was one of my very best friends. She loved to bake, she loved to dance. She knows how to comfort people. She was a prayer warrior. She knew many many bible verses. She was very empathetic and would pray for everyone she knew, and she did not know.
You were a blessing to your doctors and to your teachers and to your classmates Reumah.
Every day I miss looking at your beautiful face.
I love you and will miss you my darling daughter until we meet again in heaven.
Thank you and may God bless you all.

Reumah, my precious daughter - you came into my life and changed me forever. Over the years people have complimented me for being a good mother but I can't take credit for that. You were born as a miracle, and you were the one who was often teaching me. I know you are an angel from God sent to me to teach me to trust God, have hope in god, and to love God in good and in bad times. You taught me how to forgive and how to be strong. You are the strongest person I have ever known Reumah, and you gave me strength when I was weak. When times were sad and tough we together talk to God for strength.
Reumah and I shared a closeness that only a mother and daughter can. With any little problems she will say it’s OK ma, God knows, or she will say we will pray about it. We laughed together, playing board games, knitting, making bracelets, rainbow looms, and she had the best cursive writing in junior classes. Most importantly, my Reumah was brave, courageous and strong.
The lung and her kidney conditions won the battle, but she won the victory. She knew that when this tabernacle is destroyed, she had a habitation eternal in the Heavens.
We Christians really don’t die. We fall asleep. The New Testament is clear on this. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. But our bodies sleep until the last day.
While our God is sovereign and sees and knows all things, we can be assured of this. He suffers with us in our pain. He grieves with us in our loss. He hurts with us in our suffering. So we can cling to Him in our time of grief and mourning.
I would like to read a bible verse.
Philippians 1:21-22 Paul says;
For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far.
– I know you are up in heaven now, waving down to us with cheeky grin on your beautiful face.
I want you near me, to feel your cheek pressed against mine and your arms wrapped around me, squeezing me like you did. My dearest darling, we will miss you forever and can’t wait for the day when we can be together again to laugh, share, hold each other and say -I love you.
Your passing is indeed a celebration of life!
Goodbye for now, my Kuttima, my precious girl.

You were 3 yrs old when I first met you and my oldest memory is playing board games with you. You were full of life and full of faith all through these years, enduring pain in ways unknown to others. The Lord who crafted you, knew you by name, walked with you, blessed you with a loving home on earth and has now taken you to be with Him forever. It is a beautiful life Reumah. A great testimony for the glory of God. You have fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the faith. Now enjoy the crown the Lord has given you and worship Him with the angels precious girl. Love you.

Dear Reumah,
We do not have words to express how deeply we miss you.
We remember when you were a little girl - how you’d play with us and sit on our laps. We remember the pretty matching Indian dresses that you wore and how we loved to feed you even though you took your sweet time to eat. We wish we had asked time to stand still then, so we could have had more time with you.
BUT, you are now in a much more loving home. You are not in any pain or sorrow or discomfort. You are now complete and happily singing heavenly choruses with the angels. Knowing how you loved songs, you must be the DJ leading the worship.
You have shown us what faith means in practice - not a concept or some abstract thing. You showed us that being thankful with no grumbling is the essence of a Christian’s life on this Earth. Though the years may have been short, the impact you have had on us has left a lasting legacy.
We love you Reumah! This is not a ‘goodbye’ but a ‘till we meet again…’

Dear Anil, Susen, Rogers and Raichelle, it is with a very heavy heart that I extend my sincerest condolences to all of you during this extremely difficult time. I have so many wonderful memories of Raichelle and Reumah from their years at Mount Royal school. Lunches in my office were always learning opportunities for me with Reumah. She always had lots to tell me. When we had to change a dressing, Reumah was my teacher and my coach. She always had a smile and I loved hearing her laugh and giggles. Reumah was a wonderful person. May your faith and your wonderful memories give you courage and strength to carry you through this very sad time. Sending prayers, love and hugs to all of you. Dear Abraham family Please accept our deepest condolences. It is with great sadness that we even have to write this message. However, we will continue to remember Reumah as the girl that loved riding the razor rip 360 bike with her sister Raichelle down the hallways of Mount Royal Public School. May she Rest In Peace and be free to fly anyway she chooses now. Our Angel Reumah Sincerely, Juzer, Sakina, Ali and Yasin Rehmanji

Reumah was a sweetheart through and through. She was curious young lady and enjoyed the company of others. Whether it be peers or staff, she always made a point to learn the names of people to make them feel welcome. Reumah had a laugh that was infectious and her sense of humor always brought a smile to the faces of those around her. Above all else, anyone that had the opportunity to work with Reumah will always remember her as a fighter. We are extremely saddened to hear about the loss of such a beautiful soul and important member of the Humberview family. Heaven truly gained another angel.
