Sometimes it is so hard to accept what we don't understand. Mike was truly a wonderful caring person who I had the privilege of working with for many years. One summer he took my two grandsons and I fishing on Lake Ontario. They never forgot that day.May he always be remembered in all your hearts forever. Fondly the McComb family

My Dear Friend Louise: My heart aches for you right now. When I think of Mike I see him out in your beautiful garden. I know how much he loved tending his vegetable and flower gardens. Louise-:) I am both shocked, and deeply saddened to hear about Mikes passing. About two weeks ago today on a Friday afternoon I was on my way home from Aurora, Ont., and stopped in and rang the doorbell. Because both vehicles were in the drive, I simply figured that you & Mike were out for a walk!! As you know I met Mike upon my employment at GM Feb. 21-1977. He was group leader in the area I was placed. Although only there for a duration of about 5 years, Mike & I developed a deep friendship that spanned all of those years to date. He graciously made me feel entirely "at ease" in an environment that I was most certainly not used to! (The jungle line A-Body) plant. Mike & I instantly became great friends. Later on following my departure from GM, Mike and stayed in touch. He was always cheery and full of zest for life. Every single time we would cross paths, we would simply carry on where we left off. It was a huge "highlight" for me to drop in and visit with Mike on each and every occasion. I will miss him greatly! Louise, you have surely lost a wonderful loving man, and the rest of us have lost a very dear and compassionate friend! Jane & I wish to extend our Deepest sympathy and prayers to you at such a time as this.

Louise It is with extreme sadness that I have read of Mike's passing,I worked at G.M with Mike for most of my 27 years there. There are two things Mike has done for me in my life besides being a friend, first of all he taught me to ski at LakeRidge, I was late in life learning to ski but Mike said he would get it done and believe me after some trial and error on my part he accomplished the job. Secondly he took me out fishing on Lake Ontario,I had never gone fishing on Lake Ontario in my life. He told me to meet him at the Whitby boat launch one day after work and out we went, it was a fantastic nice clear day the water was like crystal and before the afternoon sun set and we had to come in I had a 10 pound trout in the cooler. These are two life long memories I will treasure and it is all because of Mike. So Mike,I know you will do well in your next life and I will miss you,as tears well in my eyes,I will say good bye to a great friend.
