I will always look back with warmth in my heart when I remember the many memories we shared. Late night bonfires, card games, boat rides, pool days, delicious family dinners, tons of laughs (and even the day you guys finally convinced me to go golfing). I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to build such a close relationship with Duane. He truly was one of the kindest people that I have ever met. I will miss you.

Duane was my older cousin, of which I have many fond memories of. I first visited Canada in the late 70s and early 80s, Duane very much looked after me, even when I was fighting with his younger brother, I have very strong memories of our early years together, learning to water ski etc. It wasn’t until I was in my late 20s that we returned to Canada and spend time with the whole family. Picture shown is the first night we came back, Duane took me and Bobby out for a few drinks, needless to say, we came back in high spirits, and loud laughter, as we woke half the house, which Uncle Bill was quick to shout for us all to shut up. Duane went on to spend lots of time with us and our kids, memories which we very much hold dear, Duane was a wonderful person and an excellent Father to his lovely boys Dylan and Benny, not to mention a very hard worker, but still making time for us. We have spent many more wonderful times in recent years, and especially hold dear our time at the cottage with him and Lisa, excellent boat trips, and beers beside open fire, not to mention bobby being taken on a 4x4 trip with Duane and Lee. Duane will be very sadly missed by all his family and friends. Certainly a tragedy that he has been taken away far too soon. Duane we love and miss you, and as you said it’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. Wendy and bobby xxxx
