Dearest Aunty Gail,
Thank you for a lifetime of wonderful memories. You were there for every single milestone in my life, from my grade eight graduation, to my graduation party from journalism, to my wedding and then to Dominick's first birthday. I also have so many fond memories of you welcoming us into your home for Thanksgiving and Christmas parties. And do you remember driving up that super steep hill in St. Martin! :)
Looking back now I realized how amazing it was that you welcomed me into your home, life and heart like I was family. Your heart was so so big and I will never forgot your love.

My dear friend Gail,
My heart is broken and I miss you dearly.
It happened so fast, it’s still hard to believe that I am writing this tribute and saying goodbye to you.
In some ways I think you said goodbye to me when you sent your last text and ended it with – “Hugs and Kisses. I am very tired and I need a rest.” Those words will be etched in my heart forever!
I checked in with Linda week after week hoping and praying that I will hear your voice again but it was not to be.
Our friendship was a very special one, we started out as friends at Coca-Cola and got closer over the years to the point where we were like family. They say we choose our friends and my friend you definitely were A CHOSEN ONE!
Over the four plus decades of our friendship, you were there for the adventure, the tears (mine) and the laughter and a calming shoulder to lean on when I needed one. You cheered me and Jennifer on like we were your own and I cannot begin to tell you how much we will miss not having you in our lives.
I will miss hearing your voice and your laughter and our many conversations where we talked for hours about everything and nothing at all and often laughed at ourselves because we thought we had all the answers and could fix everything going on in the world …… but of all the times we shared, the laughter were always the best.
I will be eternally grateful for your unconditional love and friendship and the riches you brought into mine and Jennifer’s lives. I know you will be looking down upon us and cheering us on as we continue our life’s journey.
My friend, my broken heart will go on but the cherished memories we shared will live on forever, until we meet again …… I love you dearly and may your beautiful, caring soul find eternal peace.
True friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.
