Obituary of Mihaly Leber
Comforted by the love of his family, Mihaly Léber peacefully passed away at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa hospital on March 7th, 2022. He was born in 1931 on November 5th in Band, Hungary to Antal and Teréz (Drexler) Léber.
Mike lived through WW2, became a tailor and served as a tailor in the Hungarian Army, fled Hungary on his motor bike in 1956 during the Hungarian Revolution, and settled in Canada. He was an incredibly strong man, a great provider and hard worker who loved his family and friends, road trips and visiting his family in Hungary.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his bothers József and Antal, and his sisters Katalin and Teréz. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife who he celebrated 55 years of marriage with in April, his daughters Anna and Monika and her husband Rolf who cherished him and he was a proud and loving Nagy Papa to his three grandchildren Jerrikka, fiancé Matt, Aidan and Nathan.
