Dag nonkel. Nathalie, Günther, Elly en Jorn

Several years ago when I was on my own, the decision was made to sell my large house and move to a more manageable town home. My good friend Jacqui suggested that Rudy could help me redesign the back garden and help renovate the kitchen as well. Danielle, Rudy and me made many regular trips to Lowes and Home Depot to purchase our materials and patio furniture. We chose stone walls together, designed the deck and garden together, had serious discussions about the width of the stairs (I won) and soon the project started to take shape. After a month of buying supplies at Home Depot, our last visit was to the window covering department to choose some blinds. A great deal of nattering between the two of us occurred as we discussed what kind of blind was better. I could see the sales lady looking at us with a combination of bemusement and interest. Eventually we chose the best blind for the job, Rudy said a few words to the lady and we left with our purchase. It was only after we left that I learned Rudy had been in the same department the day before having a serious discussion with Jacqui on the merits of their window coverings too! No wonder she was confused! But Rudy handled it delicately by telling her that it was ok. I was his second wife! So that was the joke from then on and this wonderful man with his big heart and big smile became best friends to my family and later on, my husband Rick. So take the rest you so greatly deserve Rudy and I look forward to a future time when you can work at what you love best! Sandy & Rick Parsons and family.

I Love You so much Dad! Rest now and know that you did such an amazing job as a father, a husband, and a friend. You truly taught me so much about life and how to live mine. I know you will be forever in my heart, my soul, my eyes, and my hands. You are an inspiration to so many people and continue even through these difficult days to show me just what kind of man you are. I can't find the words to say to you and tell others just how proud I am to be your son. Forever in our hearts we will never forget the lasting impressions you left on everyone that knows you, and everyone that you touched. My best friend. My true super hero. My inspiration. My Dad! I'll miss you so much and love you forever. Your son - Shawn xo
