We have lost another wonderful person from our special Long Point Community.
Shirley had an infectious smile and positive attitude that was delightful for us all. Her humour at the tennis courts was always appreciated.
We send our best wishes to all the family during this grieving period.
We hope to see you in the north again this summer.
Fondly
Jeanine and Don Thompson

I am so sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. She was a very warm and caring person to all. I have very fond memories of her during our years together at Port Perry High School. I really enjoyed the delicious lunches that she and her students served in the Cafe.

Gord and I were sorry to learn of Shirley's passing this week.
Shirley was a real trouper at Long Point.
She took part in tennis, golf, helping at regattas and so much more.
Shirley was a great historian of the Lindsay area and as we would drive together to golf, she would proudly provide all of us with many interesting facts of Long Point and the area that she grew up in.
We will miss her.

I have wonderful memories of working closely with Shirley at P.P.H.S. for many years. She shared stories of Neil and Jeff growing up. I had many delicious lunches at her student cafe. I witnessed first hand the positive impact she had on many teenagers.
I enjoyed playing bridge and the fun visits to her cottage. Long Point was always her happy place.
One regret I have is that I could not convince her that our Oshawa driveway curved. She drove backwards on the grass and over the curb every time she left.
Condulences to her family.
Sincerely,
Joan Quail

Losing such a loving mother in law is a moment of utter sadness. The energetic spark, long conversations, laughs and the reminders of what I should and shouldn't have added to my cooking will remain in my heart.
I will miss this wonderful woman, she treated me as if I were one of her own children. May the extended family find comfort knowing Shirley is at peace.
Please accept my Deepest condolences, All my Love, Denise Ayling/Edwards

To Shirley's Family, We are not able to come to the celebration, so we are taking this opportunity to tell you how much we enjoyed her friendship for many years. Paul taught with Shirley at PPHS and I was her Red Hat, bridge and golf buddy. We had so much fun, especially when Shirley hit a bird with her golf ball! even when she was failing a bit, she played great bridge. Her cottage was a haven for many bridge parties and staff get together soon. we will miss her infectious laugh, her great smile and her kind and generous nature. she was just such a nice person and we will remember her always. rest In peace, dear friend,
E
