When I first met Nan over 30 years ago she was in the kitchen baking . Next to her family her passion was baking and gardening There was never a time when we visited Nan that we didn't walk away with one or even two pies to take home We had the choice of apple pie pumpkin pie coconut cream lemon meringue and pecan pie as well as key lime We were never at a loss for dessert
With her generosity and her heart of gold she was the best grandmother and Nan that anyone could ever wish for .. Aaron Alicia and I and the Dudezki family have benefitted greatly from Nan's unending love, kindness , her humour and her positive outlook on life . All of our lives have become richer having known Nan.

I never knew Carol “Payne”. Sadly, I never got to spend nearly enough time with Carol “Pappas”. But I will forever cherish my memories of the Carol “Miller” who welcomed me into her home in the 1960s – where I slept and ate and LIVED for many years, through good times and bad, until the day that Carol and Bob married. With her five children, she simply pulled me in and made me one of her own. We have all lost a precious gem.
