So sorry to hear of Bob's passing, our condolences go out to Pauline and Family at this difficult time! We met by chance and started out as your contractor but that soon turned into a great friendship! Bob was truly one of a kind, loved by many for his awesome personality. He touched so many lives and left an awesome impresssion on those that were so lucky to have been in his presence! Bob's smile will never be forgotten. He always looked like he was planning trouble of some sort. Bob was a wonderful Chairman for the Oshawa Harbour Commission. I enjoyed working with him as he always treated people with respect. Bob made a tremendous contribution to the Port of Oshawa as the City Representative and we have a lot to thank him for. I had the very good fortune of meeting Bob when I started hockey with the GM Salary Hockey League. For me he was the epitome of what the league needed to be - a sportsman, a gentlemen and a friend. He always treated his team mates and the other team players with respect and dignity as this is who he was. He continued this relationship after playing and always had time to speak to each and everyone who approached him.
He will be missed but his spirit will live on in many of us - he taught us well.

Bob and Pauline were one of the first to welcome us to Oshawa and the Kinsmen Club. We became close friends and remained so to this day. We are truly saddened by his passing. Fortunately we had the opportunity to have a special dinner with Bob and Pauline prior to our heading south to Texas for the winter months.
