So sorry to hear of Richard's passing. Sookie (Sharon) is like a second mother to me, and I will never forget how warm and caring Chris was to me when I was growing up in Kenora (Chris was working at Johnson's Pharmacy and always took time to talk to me and ask how I was doing ... Chris won't remember this, but we went on a pretend date to see the Love Bug at the Keewatin Cinema ... you see I was 11 years-old and Chris was in her late teens ... I believe Richard was OK with it). My deepest sympathy to the entire Katz family.

Chris, Adam, Erin, & Joel- there are no words to describe the sadness and surprise when I heard about Richard's untimely passing. I always enjoyed his 'layover' visits in Michigan or seeing him when I would be in Ajax visiting Nano & Nana. His sense of humor was unmatched by anyone ese I have ever met. Thinking of you all during this difficult time! Hugs from Michigan!

Richard was a honest and kind person. Not always the most positive person, but I always tried to instil in him how special and smart he was when it came to technology. I appreciate Richard taking the risk with me to form Trimax. I will always honour his decision and glad it turned out well for him and his family.
It is with great sincerity and sadness to see him pass so young. He fought so hard so long, but now finally at peace.
I want to send my condolences to Christine, kids and his parents.
I wish I could have joined you all to celebrate his life today!
Love
David

I first met Richard when he hired me at Trimax over 20 years ago. He was a wonderful person: kind, funny, patient, intelligent. I learned a lot from him over the years, and considered him a mentor. He will be missed by everyone he met and affected.
My heartfelt condolences to all who feel his loss, especially his family, who he talked (and told stories) about constantly and loved more than anything or anyone.

Chris, Erin, Joel and Adam, and expended family,
Words cannot express the sadness in my heart for all of you and your family.
I must say when I first met Richard, he scared me, because I did not know when he was serious and when he wasn't,he had a sarcastic sense of humor that we were not used to, but came to love. He fit into our family so well too,he loved to eat, and my mother loved to cook for him and all of you.
When he would come to visit me in MI with Melo, on they're way to Florida, Kenora, or where ever they decided to go,it was great going out with them because they fed off each other so well and had everyone laughing. BUT I loved having my own personal tech quy that could fix any issue I ever had, and I had plenty!!! He even taught me EBAY when it first came out.... what a mistake that ended up being,(lol) but I would tell him how proud he should be because I perfected that in no time.... I just can't say enough about him, I looked forward to him coming by whether it was in MI or Ajax because he truly was a loving caring soul, as much as he never wanted anyone to see that side of him... and I shared his love for Coke....well maybe not as much, but I do like it a lot..
I am so sorry I can not be there to help share the celebration of his life.
You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
HE TRUELY WILL BE MISSED!! Love and Hugs to all of you....
Love
Anna
